From time to time we have sightings of White billed divers. The owl situation is less diverse tho with SEO and LEO our only owls. Unfortunatly Snowys are just passing migrants for us. I miss the unusual stuff we had in northern Sweden, much of them being birds that you would also know on Orkney: Black Throated Divers, Red Throats. Also Eagle & Great Grey Owls. Just heard from a friend that they've had a great year for Snowy Owls too in the neighbouring province/Kommun of Jamtland with more nesting (sucessfully) pairs than ever before. Do you have Snowy Owls up there? I know they have nested in past years.
